Major Projects and Expert Witness

We have significant experience of managing major and controversial minerals, waste and renewable energy projects, including the Whitehaven metallurgical coal mine proposal, the extension of the LLWR at Drigg, and a low carbon energy and waste processing facility at Portland. Adrian also has significant expertise as a planning expert witness at public inquiry, and experience of acting as an expert legal witness.

Planning Applications and EIA

We are able to provide an efficient and professional service in respect of the preparation and submission of planning applications of any scale, and have extensive experience of planning system from the perspective and an applicant for planning permission

Contracting

We are able to provide short/medium term cover for projects or caseloads to manage unexpected events such as maternity cover or periods of extended illness for key staff in both public and private sectors. 

Mineral Resource Assessments

We are able to prepare Mineral Resource Assessments in respect of non-minerals development (particularly housing developments) with the potential to sterilise mineral resources. We advocate a multi-stage process, which can often result in early resolution of the issue from a desk study and site visit undertaken by an experienced minerals planning professional.
